The Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu organized the Three Mountain Charity Climb to raise funds to aid poor cataract patients that require surgery. The team led by President Dr Ravi Mandalam consisted of Rotarians, doctors, nurse, NGO activist and park rangers.
The list of participants:
1. Chuah Uei Chyi
2. Liaw Yun Haw
3. Sikunda Poitok Anggau
4. Ng Hin Seng
5. Helen Benedict Lasimbang
6. Peter Ong
7. Kolathu Ravi Mandalam
8. John Linus
9. Martin Moguring
10. Rossiti Maineh Karim.
By the Grace of God and support of all well-wishers, all ten members of our team of climbers successfully climbed to the summits of all the three big mountains of Sabah, also of Borneo, Malaysia and South East Asia, namely, Tambuyokon (Nov 5-8), Trusmadi (Nov 9-10) and Kinabalu (Nov 11-12).
This is perhaps the first time such a back to back climb has been done, of these three mountains - if proved so, it would indeed be a record of sorts.
Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu is truly grateful to all well-wishers, generous sponsors for our charity cause and to members of the press for their support.
Long live Rotary
Dr Ravi Mandalam,
President, Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu (2017-18)
