Motivation talks to students and schools are a part of the biennial SINDEX competition. Rotarians experienced in addressing students are usually roped in to deliver these talks, as this increases the spirit of competition and enthusiasm among participation.

On Monday, 30 October 2017, Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu conducted its first motivation talks at Sayfol International School, Bukit Padang. The talks were conducted by two very experienced motivational speakers, Past President Christopher Liew and Past President Iskandar Ahmad. Students of Sayfol enthusiastically participated in the motivation program.

On Tuesday, 31 October, 2017, a similar function was held at SMK SANZAC. Four schools SMK SANZAC (host school), SMK Bandaraya, SMK Perempuan and Sekolah Sukan Malaysia Sabah participated in the motivation talks.

Vocational Director Paul Foronda ably coordinated the entire program on both days. Rotarians from RCKK Mandarin led by PP Wong Kee Yu also attended the talks.
